"Promoting learning, local heritage, artistic expression, and diversity."

Our mission is to provide experiential music opportunities for the community and individuals.

Origins

Relying on the Foxfire music instruction method, SHMF students are encouraged to learn from each other and to explore their heritage. This is now the basis of the Southern Highland Music Foundations’ methodology and what has made the program so successful.
